I went to 6th Avenue Dancers at 22:40 on a Saturday night. Parking appeared to be on the street, but since all of the nearby spots were taken, I parked in the lot for a medical building across the street and did not end up getting towed. The club is a wood-sided building painted maroon. There is one nondescript metal door off of Lafayette Avenue. Once inside, you pay the cover at a window in the wall and they buzz a door open for you to get into the actual strip club. I paid a $5 cover on prime time Saturday night. There is a bar in the southwest corner, a VIP room in the northwest corner, a large main stage with two spinning poles on the north wall, and a community lap dance room in the northeast corner of the building. The crowd is mostly blue collar and many seem to come in to drink and look rather than tip and grind.

One could get very good mileage at the stage for just a dollar. The issue I had was that none of the dancers appealed to my prurience. All seven of the dancers were too thick or curvy for me and none of them were south of 28 years old. Five were Caucasian, one was black, and one was mixed. Since I did not have any interest in $20 lap dances or a $100 30-minute VIP session from any of these porkers, I decided to determine the level of stage contact for TUSCL review purposes. I tipped a 30-something blonde dancer named Seven, since she was the lesser of seven gluttons on shift. She jumped off the stage and started riding me cowgirl in the stage...

So I finally got the courage to stop by this place. The outside of the club looks like it should be condemned and the area isn't great. Once you walk inside it's like your in a while new world. Fairly spacious on the inside and pretty clean.

The lapdances are 20 bucks a song, and are in a section of the club that can be seen in from spots. There are no dividers so you can watch other dances too if your a creep like that. They have a "vip" area that is a small room with a couch and a curtian. Pretty private but not totally. The vip is 100 for 30mins.

The bar is fully stocked and in line with your normal SC prices. They do not have a waitress going around so you must go to the bar to get your drinks.

The girls weren't too bad. There were a few ringers, and a few duds. Pretty much whatever you are into was there. The place was also packed for a Tuesday night and turned into a very nightclubish style place. Not a good night if you just wanted to relax and take it easy.

Overall you should give the club a chance. You'll be scared walking into it, but once inside you'll forget all about that and enjoy yourself.

About 8 dancers could be considered hot and social some are well gross and will do anything for a dollar. Beware those girls gross and down right desperate. Pay actual dancers for their pole tricks dance moves or conversation not if the promise to suck ur dick seriously that's fucked up. Needs work done in the club and needs to screen dancers other then that I love it. They changed a few things in the club. And the DJ is pretty awesome. One bartender I do not like the other is the best. Couple do come in but don't bring girls who hate woman touching them Cuz the dancers will play around w women. Are allowed couple dances in VIP room. No sex is not allowed in champagne room some believe other wise. On Fridays and Saturdays there is a cover charge of 5 dollars.

There is a smoking area in the back outside. No you can't not start a fight or stiff a dancer. They have bouncers that will rip your ass. And if you are getting to drunk you will be cut off and if needed they will call you a taxi. No pictures are allowed to be taken if they are taken your phone will be monitored as u delete it. Don't be a jackass. And at 230am every night is amateur hour. So bring woman who like to drink and take their clothes off at 230am only. Anyone caught dancing on someone before 230am is removed from the building. You are allowed to give men dances at 230am and they are allowed to pay you. The dancers do show you pole tricks if you ask. You are not allowed back...

I didn't know Terre Haute had any clubs, and I see why. The physical club itself was the worst I've visited, not a dime gets spent on "atmosphere" or renovation. Unfinished bathroom, a hole where a toilet used to be, and not much for decoration or lighting. Only one stage, two poles, two girls on stage at a time. Couch dance area was through some thick chains for curtains and the couches all tore up.

The girls were average, none that really piqued my interest at first glance, and all were sitting together in front of the stage as a handful of customers lingered about. It was almost midnight, any semi-decent club should be packed by this time on a Friday night. With that considered, it took longer than should for anyone to approach me, and of course it was the oldest dancer, which still looked pretty damn good for her age. I take it the girls all have sugar daddies because they sure didn't work like they needed money. Probably just there to find a frat-boy boyfriend.

Dropped about $4 for a beer, typical I thought until I was handed a huge ass bottle. Well worth it.

Would I return? Maybe if I was REALLY drunk and carrying Purel.

I'm embarrassed to admit that I was a semi-regular at this club many years ago (mid 90s to early 2000s), but finally the quality-to-price became so low that I stayed away for a long time. I happened to visit on two recent Fridays and am pleased to report that the club has improved from its depths.

6th Avenue Dancers is located at the corner of 6th Avenue and Lafayette Avenue, a block east of 7th Street and a few blocks off of US 41, the main north-south road through town, on the scuzzy near north side of Terre Haute. Street parking is free and probably safe (at least I've never had any problems in dozens of visits over the years) in a shabby neighborhood that is rapidly being consumed by Union Hospital. The club is unimpressive on the outside and not much better on the inside, though certainly better than ten years ago.

A cashier behind a dark window checks your ID and relieves you of $5, at least on weekends. (I got in free both times recently because I had old free passes from the newspaper.) Inside you will see a single small stage with two poles, a DJ booth, a well-stocked bar, and several small round tables with two kitchen chairs each. The lap dance area consists of a few torn-up sofas (take those stilettos off first, ladies!) behind a beaded curtain. The bathroom is bleak.

On each of my Friday visits there were 6-8 dancers, each of whom (as is usual) did two dances on stage, the second one topless. All wer...
