This club has changed and not for the better. I went here a few times just to check and make sure it was just a 1 time thing... and sorry to report it's not. the place really had changed for the worst.
The Bad: draft Beer are gone; extra security in the front door extra Rude. they are trying to put in a valet parking meanwhile there is a good parking lot. night time charge has gone up. apparently... the later you get here the more expensive it gets.... WTF? on their web site, there are a lot of girls in reality didn't see any of them there. a few of the regular were there, but not very engaging. I was there for shift change... ok i was not expecting a lot but seating there for an hour no one show up.. no dancers, no "working" bar tender, the one that was there she's keep on taking selfies instead of serving drinks. this is around 7pm. I have been to other clubs around shift change there are at least a few girls, and bar tenders... music was load... girls were snobbish, bar tenders taking selfies. I hope the club changes back to what it was. It wasn't the greatest place, but it wasn't this bad. I'll keep going back to check and report back

Been to Rouge a few times. This is a small club on 58th street and convenient to get to from the BQE or the LIE. They have a happy hour in the afternoon and you are able to get mixed drinks for 5 dollars which is awesome. The drinks are pretty strong and may be needed. The talent on this club during the day is very weak. Lots of international women and WOC. There can be a gem or 2 to be found depending on the day. I was in on a Tuesday and found a tall thin WOC who gave amazing lap dances. Very fine bottom lots of 2 way contact. The lap dance room was pretty private, but I think it was because the club is fairly quiet during the day time. I can see the lap dance area getting more crowded at night. They have private rooms there but they were quite expensive. I believe it was like 200 dollars for a half hour, but the lap dance area was private enough that I did not partake, perhaps next time. 25 Dollars for a lap dance is a bit much, and girls asking for tips after giving them 25 dollars for a dance seems excessive.

The dancer I was with seemed to imply that she wanted to hang out OTC but I would rather vet her a bit more before any of that happens. The staff was all very nice and the waitress service was on par. They have 1-2 dancers at a time on the stage doing serious pole work and after the set they do the usual dollar parade which is not too bad during the day when its quiet but again, I can see it being annoying later in the night when its more crowded.Read more

I've sort of given up finding a good club on Long Island so i guess im slowly making my way towards NYC. Ive been reluctant to go to NYC cuz of prices but after my experience with Rouge, it is sort of inevitable.

I came in at my usual time which is 5 PM. I usually go in at this time bec clubs are usually low key and empty so you can get some good mileage and face to face with the best dancers. I went into Rouge based on the solid reviews on Tuscl but was pretty disappointed. First let me get to the layout. The layout is pretty simple: a bar encircling a stage in the middle (you cant really reach the dancers to tip bec the stage is far). The clientele looked like some Manhattan finance guys who wanted a more low key location than the midtown clubs. The outside of the club looks like it was recently redone so I was hopeful upon entering that the inside would be the same. Unfortunately the inside was seedy and a bit rundown. When I came in I was immediately hounded by two dancers who were 2's on a good day. The black girl on stage was a little thick and not a looker but knew how to dance. The bartender was a Russian (or thereabouts)and very nice and friendly. Due to the lack of talent I didnt spend much time in rouge....

I danced at Rouge on a friday night recently. there were at least 25 girls working, it seemed like a lot of girls for this relatively small place. i actually liked this club a lot. it has a laid-back cozy vibe. the girls were friendly (that's not always the case in nyc). bouncers, manager and vip guys were all nice and not trying to intimidate people.
the club is clean, not creepy or "divey".
the club is just one room with a large stage which has three poles and is completely surrounded by the bar. there were 3 or 4 girls dancing on the stage at all times. there is not really anywhere else to sit other than at the bar (there are 4 small tables along the wall). sitting at the bar does obligate you to tip at least one dollar to each dancer after she gets off the stage. this is not such a bad deal, since you can sit at the bar all night watching the girls and just spend one dollar at a time. this is a very low-hustle club, you will not be pressured to get dances, most of the girls were just sitting around when they weren't on the stage. lap dances cost $25 per song and take place in a vip room where you will be visible to other patrons getting lapdances AND to the vip guy who comes in often to check that nobody is breaking the rules. there is also a "champagne room" ($125 for 15 minutes) which is just a couch behind a big dark curtain in the vip room. i don't think anybody will be checking on you in there.
the music playe...

Wow, what a difference a year makes. In October of 2010 I reviewed this club and commented very favorably about the girls. Now it was just blah on the talent front.

In my previous review, I commented on the layout, all of which still holds true now. I also commented on the drink prices and the fact that the booze is heavily watered down. I will just add that my Jack and cokes ran for $10, I was not charged a cover, and the booze continues to be of a watery nature.

The very prominent difference is in the girls. The crew that I saw the last time that I visited Rouge would have compared favorably to the dancers in almost any club in the country, including some of the larger and glitzier places. I guess that with the recent crackdown on the use of Russian girls, this club has decided to move to more Latina and American fare. The girls tended to be thick and there was a lot of ink in the room. There were also a few fairly ugly girls that I am sure would never have been hired a year ago. Now there were indeed a few Russian girls still working there, but not too many.

Until the talent improves, I'm not sure if there is really much reason to visit this place. Paying $10 for booze that is heavily watered down irks me on principle, but in the past the talent levels was such that it overcame my objection to being ripped off at the bar. Now this is just a place with mediocre talent and watered down booze. In my humble opinion...
