I dropped into Rhonda’s Place at 21:45 on a Saturday night. You have probably heard the term “dive bar with strippers” used on this website before. In most cases, reviewers use the phrase liberally on TUSCL and exaggerate. However, Rhonda’s Place can only be described a dive bar with strippers. It is literally a trashy bar in a strip mall that has dancers performing on a little stage in the corner. The clientele was mostly Mexicans from Labor Ready and young black men with their pants sagging below their butt. Being dressed fairly well, I was a fish out of water. There is no cover charge to enter, and no one checking ID’s. There was a sign behind the bar stating that one must purchase a minimum of two drinks, but it seemed to not be enforced. I only drank a Red Bull ($3.50) and bailed after an hour of observation due to my lungs hurting. Smoking is allowed inside Missouri bars, so be aware that you will be choking on secondhand smoke.

The main room has the bar in the back. A white lady named Keira was the bartender. The stage is in the northeast corner. It is only a step above floor level and has a spinning pole. The stage is fenced by metal pipes. A TouchTunes jukebox is on the wall next to the stage. Dancers pick their songs off the jukebox. Since there is no DJ introducing the dancers, you have to talk to them to get their names. The remainder of the main room was filled with stool at high top tables. There is also a back room with two pool tables and a cig...

As others have said Rhonda's is pretty much a dive bar with a stage in the corner. It is also EXTREMELY hit or miss in the afternoons. Frequently the day girls don't feel like they are going to make enough money so they don't bother to dance or mingle. Honey who is at times the most fun of all the girls there is particularly bad about sitting in the corner playing on her phone instead of interacting.

Pros: Cheap drinks, Kira the bartender is truly a breath of fresh air. She is the most attractive girl in the club and the most interesting to talk to. If it is a slow day or night and she is working just sit at the bar and start up a conversation. When it is in party mode the club can be a lot of fun. Some of the girls like to grind against you up at the railing even though it is a pastie\bikini bar flashes do happen.

Cons: The biggest con is the smoke stench. It is BAD. Like when you step out your clothes and hair are drenched in it. If you are a smoker I suppose that might not be bad, but if you are not be prepared to smell like a chain smoker. If it is a slow day don't expect anyone on stage. In fact the day shift may leave an hour or more before the night shift even gets there. The night shift seems more professional and skilled at dancing, but don't party quite like the day shift.

In short there is fun to be had here if you are dropping by after work, but you will be able to gauge th...

I had read the reviews, so I wasn't expecting a whole lot. But my hotel wasn't far away, and I felt like a drink or two on the way back from my job, so I stopped by.

I did need to take a leak as I walked in, so I headed for the head. The sign, "Please do not piss on the floor" should have clued me in. Well, yes, it did clue me in.

The bartender was very friendly. I will say that. That's the only positive I have. If you don't smoke here, you'll be the only one. Even the dancer on stage had a butt in her mouth as she went through the motions...ugh. Haven't seen that anywhere else...hope to never again. If there is a definition for anti-sexy, that would probably be it for me.

It's a bikini place, as has been reported, but at any beach at any city in the world, you'll see bikinis filled far more nicely than here. Anywhere you look.

I don't think I was there for more than 10 minutes, enough to knock down one gin-and-tonic faster than I normally do. I left with my clothes, hair, pores, etc. so totally saturated with cigarette smoke. Ugh. I have a rental car...I hope I'm not charged the $300 for the cleaning....

Situated in a safe area of town, west of downtown Saint Louis, this bar is located in a strip mall, so parking is free.

Club is far from fancy. As you walk in, no bouncer at the door, three pool tables are on the right, the bar in back, stage on left. No cover charge and domestic beer is $3 per bottle.

Bar service was quick, and pleasant, but no table service.

Customers look like members of the Marshall Tucker Band, and place is fairly smoky.

Stage is good sized, in the corner of the room, slightly raised, one pole, with a 3 foot high railing around it. You can walk up to the stage but cannot sit up at it.

Tables are set up 15 or more feet from the stage, bar stools, with high tables. Place is probably full at 40 – 50 customers. Place was pretty quiet, about a dozen customers.

A couple of old video games around the bar, appear pretty worn out.

Dancer work for tips only, so the sign states on the wall, so after they dance, they come around to the tables for tips.

4 dancers working that night, rotating turns on the stage, each one dancing two songs that they picked out the juke box that sits on the stage.

Dancers were average in appearance, some special moves, natural appearing with pasties. Mostly nice to talk with, but need better dancewear.

Having read about this on this site I decided to stop in while finishing my day. I went in at 5 in the afternoon. Three dancers were there with about 6-8 patrons. There are a come good and some bad points.
Good
- no cover
- cheap beer (long-neck Bud for 2.75)
- dancers (at least the one who came over to me and started talking was really nice)
- the bar tender was friendly, and even though she was in her late 30's early 40's she had a good body.

Bad
- no milage (the gal I was with did allow me to put my arm around her waist and I did get a nice feel of her ass)
- the gals have pasties on which does not compare when you can experiance the more on the other side of the river
- nothing exposed south of the boarder,
- there is a rail seperating the dance area, and all tables were at least 8 feet from the rail. So there isn't even a good chance of getting a good view.
-of all the gals there, they were in the 5-7 range. All were either early to mid twenties.

In my opinion, if you want something more definetly go east. You can get more action and this place give some tease, but no release. On the other hand if you want to get a beer at normal bar prices and possibly get the chance to see a scantily clad gal, then this might do in a pinch.
